Sustainable Fabrics: The Future of Workwear
By Sustainability Team

The workwear industry is undergoing a significant transformation as sustainability becomes a top priority for manufacturers and buyers alike. At VOKOM, we're committed to leading this change through innovative eco-friendly materials and responsible production practices.
Why Sustainable Workwear Matters: Traditional textile production consumes vast amounts of water, energy, and chemicals. By choosing sustainable alternatives, companies can reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining product quality and performance.
Our Sustainable Fabric Options:
1. Recycled Polyester (rPET) Made from post-consumer plastic bottles, rPET fabric reduces waste and requires 59% less energy to produce compared to virgin polyester. Our rPET workwear offers identical durability and comfort.
2. Organic Cotton Grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, organic cotton protects soil health and farmer safety. We source GOTS-certified organic cotton for our casual workwear lines.
3. Tencel™ Lyocell Produced from sustainably harvested wood pulp using closed-loop processes, Tencel™ offers excellent moisture management and biodegradability.
4. Hemp Blends Hemp requires minimal water and no pesticides, making it an ideal sustainable fiber. Our hemp-cotton blends provide exceptional strength and breathability.
Certifications & Standards: We maintain OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GRS (Global Recycled Standard), and GOTS certifications to ensure our sustainable claims are verified and transparent.
Future Commitments: By 2026, we aim to source 50% of our fabrics from sustainable sources and achieve carbon-neutral production for our eco-friendly product lines.
